I've been a loyal Rutan Refrigeration customer for over 10 years, since they replaced my condenser unit. Service has varied a bit depending on the technician over the years, but today's visit with Johnzen was outstanding.
My central air had stopped cooling properly, and Johmzrn came out to troubleshoot. His attention to detail was incredible — you could tell he genuinely cares about his work. He spent real time diagnosing the system, both in the attic and at the condenser, and when he wrapped up, he walked us through everything he found. It's clear this isn't just a job for him; he loves what he does. His customer service was polite, caring, and friendly the whole time.
A follow-up visit is scheduled once a part comes in, and I've already asked Sarah, the owner, to send Johnzen back out. She's also been fantastic throughout this whole process. Highly recommend this team!

I have been using this company since they replaced our central air unit 3 years ago. Our home owners warranty set everything up with this specific company. A few days after a technician came to conduct my annual service I received a call from Susan the general manager. We discussed the work that the technician had conducted on our central air unit and Susan felt comfortable with scheduling a follow up appointment just to make sure everything is running properly.  After speaking with Susan I agreed to the appointment.  Here is my honest feedback. I haven't experienced a business owner who cares so much about customers service/experience To. To have the general manager personally follow up with me throughout the years of service is a blessing. I decided today that I will continue to use her company for my annual cleaning and maintenance and whatever else happens along the way. Susan, I pray that God will send more people to you. Rutan has been a trusted provider to our Makakilo home since 2020. I like that they are local to the west side, in Kapolei. They’ve installed 2 central AC units and have serviced all of my units.  They are usually able to work in routine service in a week and urgent service in just a day or two. My 18 yr old WSHP A/C was dead, and I was thinking of a costly replacement.  Rutan sent technician quickly, and after a good check, a replacement of capacitor fixed it.  They are professional and honest company, with a real back office support.  Highly recommend!

Rutan is one of the contractors that American Homeshield selects to work on my AC.  They do such an OUTSTANDING JOB that I only request for them to work on my AC instead of randomly selecting contractors.
