During a routine maintenance visit on a Rheem central AC system in Ewa Beach, our technician found that the duct had separated from the air handler, letting cool air escape before it reached the home.
We completed the preventive maintenance (cleaned the condenser coil, flushed and tested the drain line, inspected the wiring, blower and evaporator coil, and replaced the filter), then returned to rebuild the plenum with new duct board, insulation and sealing tape.
The result: the air coming out of the vents dropped 4 degrees, to 53°F, so the home cools faster and the system works less.
